Travelling during COVID19

Dolukanda is situated in the Hiripitiya village in the Kurunegala district in the dry zone of Sri Lanka. It is an enormous inselberg. According to the legend of this rock it is said that when Lord Hanuman was carrying the Great Himalaya Mountain, some parts of it fell on top of Dolukanda. It is also said that it has herb forests filled with magical herbs with supernatural powers believed to cure any disease.

The hike to the top takes about 2 hours and is quite easy. The summit offers 360 degree views of the surrounding lush green lowlands, and this astounding view of the surrounding landscape will accompany you all the way down Dolukanda’s staggering 350 foot rock wall in the abseiling adventure.

Our journey begins in Dolukanda Village at around 8AM where we will all meet and get acquainted with each other. 

We hope you are ready for the hike. It will take around 2 hours to complete the 3.7km walk to the summit. 

No activity is enjoyable unless the rules are in place. Our guides and instructors will conduct the session on safety and show you how to use the activity equipment and tools. Listen closely! 

And now we’re ready. Take a step into the unknown and enjoy abseiling down this magnificent 350ft rock wall. 

That is a moment worth remembering. Let’s all get together and capture a group picture and then let’s head back with a lot of memories of a good day.

##### Comfortable Clothing
You'll be spending a lot of time in the water and in some muddy places. So bring some appropriate comfortable clothing that won't hinder your movements and that you won't mind getting a bit messy in.

##### You'll need shoes
They'll get wet so don't bring your favourite pair. Rubber slippers (Flip-flops, crocs) are not recommended for this activity.  

##### Cameras!!  
We know that everyone is going to put their phone cameras into overdrive so bring protective covers for them if you plan to take them along for the ride so that you don't have to worry about them in case of rain.

##### Bring along your good spirits and a thirst for adventure
Bring your positivity and smiles and make sure to pack in a bit extra and spread them around. We're going to be all smiles and laughter all through this journey.
